Wind down by learning waiata Māori from the traditional sort to those of Rob Ruha. At the pace of the class we will learn the kupu (words), the rangi (tune and harmonies) and actions for waiata-a-ringa (action songs). A great way to destress and socialise. No musical experience required. Course fee $30 or $120.

Eda is a Chinese Tangata Tiriti who is passionate are about language revitalisation and bridging cultures. When Eda isn’t teaching, she’s a freelance journalist and editorial producer for The D*List, a disabled-led media and community organisation. She was a Pou Tiaki journalist at Stuff NZ, telling stories of te ao Māori and other underrepresented communities. She was also the co-writer and co-host ofĀku Hapa!,a TV show on Whakaata Māori that uses cooking as the waka for speaking te reo Māori in a fearless way. Eda is a graduate of Te Pīnakitanga ki te Reo Kairangi at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
