    GetReal

This programme is a collaboration between Selwyn Community Education and Get Real (for more information contact GetReal at email: nz.getreal@gmail.com or via their website www.getreal.org.nz)

Beat boredom in the school holidays while doing something meaningful in our five-day programme to inspire and engage children 8 - 12 years! This unique programme encourages children to make positive changes in the world and in the lives of others. Each day will begin with a motivating talk given by an inspiring young activist who is making positive changes socially or environmentally. The children will then spend the day creating items to be given to people in need or have fun with drama learning about diversity, empathy, kindness and compassion.

Each day - Monday through Friday - we will focus on a different topic and activity (see below for details).

2025 dates are from Monday 7 July - Friday 11 July 2025. Courses run from 9 AM to 4:30 PM daily. Places are limited, so book early. Registration for individual days is welcomed however preference will be given to those attending several days or the whole week. In order to create the best experience, the number of participants will be kept to 15 children for most sessions.
